The Witcher Season 3: Date and Teaser Trailer

Netflix has announced that The Witcher Season 3 will be divided into two parts, with the first five episodes premiering on June 29, and The Witcher Season 3 three episodes premiering on July 27. The latest trailer, which lasts for about a minute, gives us a glimpse of Henry Cavill as Geralt for the last time before he hands over the role to Liam Hemsworth, who will take over in Season 4. Additionally, the trailer reveals the return of Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri, as the three of them embark on a new adventure.

The trailer also quickly flashes through various scenes from the upcoming season, without providing any significant details. However, we can see glimpses of the Wild Hunt, Rience, and several other villains. According to the official plot synopsis, “Geralt takes Ciri into hiding as monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it.” Meanwhile, Yennefer is entrusted with Ciri’s magical training and takes them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to discover more about Ciri’s powers. However, they soon discover that they have landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery.

Since its inception, Netflix’s Witcher universe, which is separate from the famous book and video game franchise, has expanded considerably. In addition to the planned seven seasons of the mainline series, there are also spin-off animated films like Nightmare of the Wolf and prequel series like Blood Origin.
